Thank you!
Our 2011 Holiday Turkey Drive saw more than 520 turkeys donated.
Thanks to you, we were able to provide special holiday meals for all of our clients for Thanksgiving, with some 200 birds reserved for Christmas meals.
Generous contributors dropped off at our two kitchen locations: our Central Kitchen facility at
700 North Fifth St., Sacramento, and at our Mather Community Campus kitchen facility at
3587 Bleckely St., Mather. Both locations were open for drop-off donations from
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 1 through 24, 2011.
Volunteers of America provides more than 1,800 meals daily to clients at its emergency shelters, as well as at its transitional and permanent-supportive housing programs. During the holiday season, we also provide for those in need who reside in our affordable housing programs.
Financial contributions, which provide food and shelter for our clients during the holidays and throughout the year, may be made
online now, by mail (Volunteers of America Greater Sacramento & Northern Nevada, 1900 Point West Way, Suite 270, Sacramento, CA 95815), or
in person. (Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday).
