Holiday Giving 2009
Give the gift of warmth this Christmas

More than 3,000 homeless men and women will find refuge in one of Volunteers of America's homeless shelters each year.

Our holiday community campaign to collect new hats, gloves, socks and scarves helps remind those most in need that they are not forgotten, while providing essential personal items to help ward off the winter chill.

Thanks to generous community support, Volunteers of America was able to give 314 sets of new hats, gloves, scarves, socks and ponchos as Christmas presents in 2008 to the homeless who frequent our emergency shelters.

In 2009, we hope to do even better.

The deadline to return donations of unwrapped hat, scarves, gloves and socks is 4 p.m. Dec. 11, 2009 at the Volunteers of America administration office, 1900 Point West Way, Sacramento, 95815. We are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information regarding how your organization can help, contact Kim Castaneda, Community Relations Manager, at kimc@voa-sac.org or 916.442.3691.

It isn't the size of the gift that matters, but the size of the heart that gives it.
