Residential Family Center dinner servers
Location: Volunteers of America Residential Family Center | Sacramento
Date/Time Commitment: Dinner service opportunities are currently available from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
Residential Family Center dinner servers plate and serve evening meals to the families in residence, as well as wash serving trays following the meal. Maximum capacity for the shelter is 12 families.

Day Care Helper
Location: Residential Family Center
Date/Time Commitment: 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
We would like to offer some free day care for the families staying at the Residential Family Center, so they can further move toward their goals of self-sufficiency.You would be working with infants and toddlers.

After-School Aide
Location: Residential Family Center
Date/Time Commitment: 3 to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
You will be working with school-age children running a structured after-school program.You can volunteer for one day, or multiple days - whatever time you have to give, or whatever resources you can share would be greatly appreciated. Our goal is to offer additional tutoring, a book club, arts and crafts, outdoor games and more to encourage and enhance the learning experience of the children in residence.

Family Game Night Helper
Location: Residential Family Center
Date/Time Commitment: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays
You would be responsible for organizing and managing a family game night at the shelter. We have many board games available, but if you have any games you think the families would enjoy, you can share those as well.

Ambassador Committee Member
Location: Volunteers of America administration office, 1900 Point West Way, Sacramento

The Ambassador Committee will be responsible for inviting people to our monthly tours, help to identify in-kind donations, organizing special events and other community-outreach activities.
